Big Stone Gap – Mountain Empire Community College is pleased to announce recent graduates of health science programs for fall 2014.
MECC congratulates the 2013-14 Respiratory Therapy cohort on the completion of their degree program. Fourteen students graduated in this cohort based on their academic performance in both classroom and clinical competencies. Clinical facilities utilized during their clinical rotations include; Holston Valley Medical Center, Johnson City Medical Center, Bristol Regional Medical Center, Johnston Memorial Hospital, Indian Path Medical Center, Norton Community Hospital, Mountain View Regional Medical Center, Lonesome Pine Hospital, Wexford House, and HealthSouth in Kingsport TN. In addition, MECC recently received notification that the following students successfully completed both their written and practical certification exams with The National Phlebotomy Association. Congratulations to these newly certified phlebotomists: Morgan Bowman, Christa Fisher, Kelsey Harris, Brittany Lewis, Marianna Mullins, Desiree Peak, Tammy Pleasant, Tracie Powers, Bethany Reece, Kasey Smith, Kortney Tiller and Chelsea Wise.
